Review of Companions of the Night

My favourite characters happen to be vampires with souls who seek for redemption. This summary drew me into the plot immediately and I kept turning the pages to find out what happens next. Kerry a human saves Ethan from vampire hunters and unknowingly gets entangled in a web of deceit as well as truths. Ethan is as fallible as a human, even though he is immortal and handsome. He is French just like Rice’s Lestat de Lioncourt, which makes him extremely desirable.

Nobody is perfect. He lies to manipulate her. But Kerry learns of his past that led him to behave this way. Ethan reciprocates by not killing or changing the girl into his kind. In this way, Ethan knows what is right and wrong. If you are not a gothic fan, you soon will be. You will also see a link with racial discrimination, as vampires are another race from us. The hunters torture them, like slave drivers. Companions of the Night is both teenage romance and action volume, full of touching moments and thrilling detective moments. Guaranteed to make the reader breathless and lightheaded.
